Next week’s PUB meeting is for anyone wanting to make a Holiday card for the children at Strong Memorial. These children will unfortunately be in the hospital over the Holidays, so please help us cheer up their day a little more with a beautiful card.

Winter Quarter Activities!!!!
Hey Everyone!
I hope Fall quarter went well for everyone. Pub had a great Fall quarter, we made stickers for our laptops, cars etc, we started planning our fake id directory and we had lots of fun! Pub has more in store for everyone during Winter quarter. Please check out the things we will be doing below and get involved.
- Christmas card making for Strong Memorial Hospital
- Create your own typeface
- “PUB Crawl” (visiting art galleries downtown!)
- Type Design Competition (hopefully with world renowned typographer and calligrapher Kris Holmes!)
- Valentines day fundraiser/chocolate making
- Directory creation: Our yearly directory that shows off our amazing members and a great keep sake for down the road. This year’s theme is fake ids. We are in the early stages, so quick join and get a page in the book.
- Cookie exchange for the holidays!
- Collaboration with Margaret’s house to create a calendar for the kids
- NPPA/Photo Society branding/Public Relation material: Learn how to do branding for a major organization and the process that happens after.
- T-shit design/creation
- Collaboration with Cary Library for a letterpress event during National Print Week

This Sunday!
This Sunday @5 Pub will be making sticker decals for your car, computer, skateboard, etc. Whatever you want goes. Meet in the SMS lounge and bring some ideas with you! Hope to see returning faces and new ones.

Chicago bound
Pub’s e-board will be heading to Chicago this weekend for the Graph Expo convention. Lots of networking, seeing new technology, and getting free stuff! Even though a lot of the members will not be here this Sunday for the weekly meeting, Sarah will be holding a fun meeting making buttons and sticker. If you still have yet to come and join PUB, please come this Sunday! Making buttons is a lot of fun and can do whatever you want! If you have any questions please contact any of the e-board members.

Bake Sale
We had an awesome time baking yesterday with all the apples we got. Come to the SAU to try out our amazing apple creations.
Also it is not to late to join PUB. Our next meeting is Sunday at 5!

Going Apple Picking!
This Sunday Pub is going on a field trip to an apple orchard to go apple picking! After picking all the delicious apples all the members will be making their favorite apple dessert. During week 5 all the desserts will be sold in the SAU from 12-2, so be sure to buy some of our treats.

Fall 2011 Club Fair!
PUB had a great turn out at the Fall 2011 club fair! We spoke with many interested students who seemed excited about joining PUB!
PUB meetings will be held on Thursdays at 5:00pm in the SPM lounge. We will be starting meetings Week 3 ( September 22nd)! Hope to see plenty of new (and returning!) faces then!

Recycled Art!
Join PUB on May 4th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm in the SPM Lounge to learn how to make common house-hold items such as picture frames, vases, coasters, and garbage cans out of recycled material!
